We create our enterprises from the ground up and yet make time to care for our loved ones at the end of the day. We occasionally carve out a few hours for ourselves amid our hectic schedules to practice self-care.

Going all-inclusive

Though our name implies that we are a women’s-only environment, we do not discriminate and provide activities for people of any gender. Our board and the majority of our members identify as women, but the goal is to network and conduct business. We wouldn’t be very successful if we limited the pool of expertise we could contact with. The first big obstacle is the question of money, especially money to support initiatives. Research has proven that female-funded companies receive less investment from venture capitalists than male-funded enterprises, restricting women entrepreneurs’ ability to expand their green businesses. Such a financing difference might be attributed to bias against women and the need for role models in the investing business.

Women Connect

There are numerous events throughout the year, and we are always arranging them to be the best they can be. One of the most memorable events is our “Women Connect” conference. We enlarged the number of guests beyond Hult campuses, and representatives from several other business schools also attended. Of course, having various organizations representing women in business across schools is difficult, but we were able to succeed. The additional obstacle is breaking into industries dominated by male workers, such as manufacturing and disposal. Women entrepreneurs also require assistance with special problems, such as the difficulty in convincing stakeholders of their talents in certain domains. This might involve overcoming prejudice when others question their career or ability. However, many women have been able to overcome these challenges by using their unique vision and demonstrating their commitment to environmentally conscious growth.

Networking the Modern Way

The overall goal of Women in Business is to guarantee that our female members have the opportunity to extend their networks. The easiest method to accomplish this is via LinkedIn. It’s a resource that everyone utilizes, and it’s how we find all of our event speakers. Many of these interactions have resulted in continuous ties, with participants returning for future events or even joining the club’s podcasting. Nonetheless, the spirit of women in environmentally friendly businesses has not wavered, and they will continue to change the world. Through networking, obtaining access to assistance and coaching, and participating in policy change activities that promote sustainable business, these women may help better the business sector.

Work-Life Balance 

A often asked question is, “What comes next?” What will we do next? Honestly, we could need a break! There are two halves to the club: professional and social. Getting the balance right might be difficult, but when we succeed, it reminds us all why we like the club so much. Planning and arranging may be exhausting at times, so adding a social aspect is a nice relief. In a few weeks, we’ll all go to a Japanese restaurant to mingle. There will be business chat, of course, but it will largely be an opportunity for our members to unwind and relax. Ideal solutions for work-life balance should be explored within the context of institutional entities that provide both social and organizational support.

Social Support

Social institutions such as the family, government, media, schools, religious establishments, clubs, and financial and policy groups must all play a role in influencing public support for women by disseminating information about the fairness of shared social responsibilities and the promotion of equal resource allocation. Work-life balance, when aimed at women, assigns all responsibility for family management to them, reducing their reliance on the rest of society. More males should reconsider their duties as dads, husbands, and family members, and take on shared household chores with women.

Organizational Support

In this survey, more women identified job concerns as having a higher negative influence on work-life balance than familial matters. They complained about non-flexible and lengthy work hours, a lack of clear regulations and daycare centers, and indicated that with managerial help, they would be able to achieve a better work-life balance.

The Ideal lady in Business

In comparison to other groups on campus, I believe we are rather large. Our group chat currently has 78 members. You have varied levels of devotion, but I’d say there’s a core of around twenty people that help organize events, attend them on a regular basis, and bring new ideas to the table. We are constantly seeking new members, but we do have certain qualifications. Our ideal member is engaged, aggressive, and enthusiastic about networking and advancing their professional goals. 

Connecting with Colleagues

There are many brilliant women in the student body, and our goal is to engage with them all. But, why stop there to begin with. Our faculty has a lot of brilliant female instructors who can assist take our group to the next level. And this is only the beginning. Despite the obstacles they face, these women’s enthusiasm and inventiveness continue to inspire and support the pro-sustainability movement. As a result, if we promoted more sponsorship of programs like Fairfax’s roll-off garbage disposal services and guaranteed that female-identifying persons received financing and internships at the same rate as their male counterparts, the future would be far more sustainable.

Conclusion, it is so noteworthy that women have embraced entrepreneurship in green sectors to alter the world through a combination of business and ecology. Success stories like the production of fanny packs and other reusable items, as well as the use of technology in waste management, demonstrate that environmentally aware businesses can prosper in the mainstream economy.
